School Mission Statement
Every student who enters Conyer Elementary School's campus is actively engaged in a rigorous written, taught, and tested curriculum which provides opportunities for all students to achieve at impressive levels. Everyone involved at Conyer Elementary School believes there is tremendous academic potential for all students. Although many students face difficult life challenges, we do not allow this fact to limit their access to excellent educational opportunities. We know that one of the greatest predictors of life success is educational success. Therefore, we are committed to creating a school that knows no limits to the academic success of all students. Our mission is to raise the quality of living for a lifetime.
Opportunities for Parental Involvement (School Year 2008-09)
Parent involvement and communication are essential to our school success. Conyer Elementary School continually strives to involve parents by sharing information that helps parents understand and support school programs and by providing opportunities for parent participation in school activities.
There are numerous and varied opportunities for parent involvement, including but not limited to, attending school functions, participating in parent-teacher conferences, volunteering in classrooms, and chaperoning field trips. Parents may also serve on advisory committees and leadership teams, including, but not limited to, the English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC), GATE Advisory Committee, School Safety Committee, and School Site Council (SSC). Additional opportunities for parental involvement also exist at the district level.
Parents who would like more information on how to become involved may contact Principal Sandra Ochoa at (559) 730-7751.
